The Guru
George comes to SSP as our Director of Quality Control. In this role, he serves as somewhat of an independent project reviewer. He reviews projects for constructability and technical suitability, while simultaneously lending his decades of experience to all staff members by way of his guidance on technical issues and design challenges. In addition, George creates and maintains our office standards and procedures for specifications, construction documents, code review, etc. George’s natural ability to serve as a mentor to more junior staff members makes him an ideal fit for this role.
Having managed multiple large and small scale projects for New Jersey public agencies over the past four decades, George has a firm handle on how buildings go together and how to meet and exceed a client’s and a project’s goals. From full new ground-up construction projects, to capital improvements such as roofing, window replacement, or HVAC upgrades, George knows how to get the job done, and get it done well.
When not in the office, George enjoys getting his flannel shirt and tool belt on, dusting off the table saw and nail gun, and tackling the latest home repair or renovation. He hasn’t confessed whether or not he truly emulates Norm Abram by tahlking with a Bahstahn accent while installing crown moulding, but we have our suspicions.
